How to erase text from a picture
Brush over the text you want gone in Magic Retouch. The AI rebuilds the pixels behind it so the photo looks like the caption was never there.

Steps
- 01
Open the photo
Import the image with the text, timestamp, or sticker you want to remove.
- 02
Select Erase Text
Choose the erase-text tool so the brush is tuned for lettering and overlays.
- 03
Cover every character
Paint over the full word or line — including shadows and outlines — then run the edit.
- 04
Check edges and export
Zoom in on busy backgrounds. If a letter remains, brush again and save when clean.
FAQ
- Yes in many cases. Complex patterns may need a second pass. Compare before and after before exporting.
- Similar idea — brush and fill — but watermarks often sit on logos or corners. Use the watermark guide if that is your main need.
- Magic Retouch exports a new copy. Keep the original in Photos unless you choose to replace it.
